Street Style Decoded: Urban Fashion for 2026
By Mariotte · 4 min read

Street style in 2026 is quieter, heavier and more tailored than the noisy logo era. The strongest looks on the pavement right now are doing the same things: serious outerwear, restrained colour, and one deliberate piece of friction.
Outerwear is the headline. Long coats in technical wool, oversized leather, structured down — pieces that hold their own shape rather than collapse on the body. Length is back at mid-thigh or lower.
Trousers have widened. Tailored, pleated, often cropped just above a heavy boot or a low sneaker. The skinny silhouette is fully past its time on the street.
Footwear is dividing into two camps. Sculpted leather boots on one side; technical runners with serious presence on the other. The in-between sneaker is fading.
The friction piece is what makes the outfit memorable — an unexpected scarf, a vintage bag, a piece of hardware. Street style without friction is just an outfit. With it, it is a portrait.
